AUSTIN (KXAN) — With just hours to go before his bar filled with football fans on Monday, J.V. Cook stood watch. He has been serving Longhorns at Posse East, which sits just blocks away from Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, since 1971. ROCHESTER, New York (AP) — Police were investigating after a fiery two-vehicle collision killed two people and injured five others in Rochester, New York, early on New Year's Day, officials said. The crash happened shortly before 1 a.m. Monday as officers were directing traffic after a concert let out at the Kodak Center theater complex, police said in a statement. A Ford Expedition struck a Mitsubishi Outlander, sending both vehicles “through a group of pedestrians that were in the crosswalk,” the statement said. The collision caused an explosion and a large blaze that took the fire department more than an hour to extinguish. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A South Glens Falls man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Monday evening. Deputies observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area of Clinton Avenue at Lexington Avenue. Get the latest news, weather, sports and more delivered right to your inbox! Police located a crack pipe and approximately a half ounce of crack cocaine in the vehicle. The driver, Richard A. Floral floats, marching bands and equestrian units took to the streets under a sunny California sky as the 135th Rose Parade drew hundreds of thousands of spectators on New Year’s Day.
